Common questions about UdhariPlus.

Quick answers about how the app stores data, uses contacts, and works day to day.

Does UdhariPlus need internet to work?

No. UdhariPlus stores all customers and entries in a local SQLite database on your phone, so adding, viewing, and editing a khata works completely offline.

Why does the app ask for contacts access?

UdhariPlus uses the flutter_contacts package so you can pick an existing contact's name and number when adding a new customer, instead of typing it in manually. You can deny this and add customers by hand instead.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Because everything is stored locally on your device, uninstalling UdhariPlus permanently removes your khata. There's no cloud copy to restore from unless you've backed it up separately.

What's the difference between "You Gave" and "You Got"?

"You Gave" logs money that left your pocket — what you lent. "You Got" logs money that came in — what was repaid to you or what someone lent you. Together they keep your "you have to give" and "you will get back" totals accurate.

Can I add a note to a transaction?

Yes. Every entry has a remarks field so you can note what the amount was for — useful for remembering details weeks or months later.

Is my data shared with anyone?

No. UdhariPlus doesn't have a server component for your khata data — it stays in local storage on your device. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
